Music is everywhere.  Musicians have so many avenues to take.  They can almost do it on their own without a record deal.  It does have its advantages and disadvantages.  With record deals a band can have the ability to be heard on a broad spectrum faster.  On the other hand doing it on your own may be more fulfilling.  Without a big monopoly involved a band is more free to control their image, and REALLY write their own music.  I tend to be a do it on my own artist, because I like the control to express myself in the way I want.  I want my work to have my ultimate stamp on it and not be influenced or redirected by someone with fat pockets.  There are really genuine people in the business I have grown to find recently,  proving my prejudged negativity wrong, I believe that they are not around every corner though.  Fame and demand changes people.  I personally believe an artist that stays true to the humble beginnings is the one that takes on ‘U2’ stardom.  A band can NEVER forget who put their  feet on the stage…the fans.   My efforts are truly to expose those artist that I believe have those qualities, I want to help introduce their greatness through my lens, which is the only way I know how.  I am just so exhausted with how the world and society works.  The levels, that status, it needs to dissolve.  It never will though.  So with my cannon in hand I plan to make some waves in the light that shines on the local bands of LA.  Hope you can all join me and support some really great musicians.  The radio does not control the music I hear…..I’m not buying into this :P
